'The Pub Philosophers - The Fates'
The journey through life as determined by the 3 Fates - the Spinner, the Alloter and the Inflexible. A journey in the hands of the universe from birth to death and the challenges, (chaos from Discordia) faced to trust this path. It tells of a man's passage and all those people and elements that affect him. The idea came from many pub conversations late into the nights about destiny and how much it is determined or how much is it controlled.
'The Pub Philosophers - The Agora'
The Pub as the 'Agora' or the 'Pnyx'. The ancient Greeks meeting place where discussions, arguments and discourse occurred. The characters are based on real people with vast knowledge on many subjects thrashed out on the inner world bubble of the public house. We have the Academic, The Firebrand, The Queen, The Vagabond, The Ageing Lothario and The Loner. All represented with symbolism from plants, food, shapes, elements and animals.
'The Pub Philosophers - The Loss'
The Story imagined from observing a couple, married for years. Traces of a bohemian past, of passion, adventure and drama now faded or lost. The signs of youth and abundance all around them but they are numb to it and feel the spectre of regret and the ever darkening clouds of a loves demise. Symbols of love and abundance are represented in the food and animals counteracted by the symbols of bareness and death.
