RYAN MUTTER

POWERFUL PAINTINGS

Mutter (b.1978) is one of the leading forces in contemporary figurative Scottish Art.

His gritty, human condition studies (early 1900's) reflect on the history of our architecture (tenements), our industrial (shipbuilding) heritage and offer an insight into the labour and harshness of the working environment, balanced by a feeling for the characters and sense of community.
For many of our customers who have a link through family to that period, they offer a powerful insight and reflection into an important period of Scottish social history and change.
Mutter cleverly uses an underpainting technique to reinforce his dramatic (monochromatic) effect - "the first marks are always the most powerful".

There is no doubt that Scottish Art History will look favourably on his contribution to our record the period.

BUYING ONE OF HIS PAINTINGS ?

If you are interested in buying one of his paintings, then please call 0141 942 4683 or email kenlemond@msn.com.
We can reserve to allow you time to consider.

While the gallery is closed (in line with Government Covid-19 guidance) we can help by setting up a video call or by sending you either photographs or a short video of the painting/s that you are interested in.

These paintings are rare as Ryan is not a prolific painter. When you see one you like, you should take the chance. Many of you will already have seen his work and will know the quality and presence of his paintings.
We are able to use guidance compliant specialist art couriers (Aardvark and ABC Couriers) to deliver your paintings locally and nationally.

For the moment international delivery is not possible until courier channels re-open.

Please do not hesitate to call 0141 942 4683 if you have any questions or wish to discuss or explain any concerns.
