GORDON WILSON

MEET GORDON WILSON
On Saturday 26th October 2019 between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.
Gordon Wilson paints his view of Scotland. He has no interest in portraying a hackneyed view of Scotland - blue skies and blue water, green fields or sand.
He concentrates on the small, characterful scenic elements that stir his interest, whether is his favourite red poppies, a Belted Galloway cow, a smoking chimney or a washing line.
He also likes to explore figurative elements, such as his Wee Glasgow Lady or his Puffers (the old workhorses of the western isles).
Wilson makes an important contribution to Scottish contemporary art with his alternative view.
Worth collecting. History will no doubt forget the unimaginative and reward the storytellers.
